(6 3/4 x 5 inches) San Francisco: Sunset Magazine Homeseekers' Bureau, 1909. 31 + (1) page, stapled, original promotional booklet, illustrated with black-and-white captioned photos, descriptive text, two maps (one of railroad routes to California, the other a road map from San Luis Obispo to Monterey), bird's-eye view of the peninsula showing the topography of the land from Pacific Grove to Pebble Beach, color photo on front cover shows "A Monterey County Home in Mid-Winter," with palms in front. On the back cover is a color photo of the bell tower of the Carmel Mission.
There are California poppy accents on borders and title, very good condition (small tear at bottom margin of page 19, unobtrusive rubber stamp of "Mr. Foster's Information Office" on title page). A colorful promotion of Sunset Magazine and the Southern Pacific Railroad.
