First edition, matching dates on Title page and Copyright page. 129 pp. Turquoise cloth with elaborate design on front and gilt tiles front and spine. This copy is VG. Exterior is clean and rich . Gilt is bright. Moderate wear to the tips and spine ends, Minimal otherwise. Inside has neat gift inscription dated Christmas , 1918 on FEP and a small signature on top of front inside board. Otherwise,unmarked with modest /even toning and firmly bound. Hinges barely starting, still solid. Illustrations by the author. Color plate of a cardinal..
