Colour illustrated dust jacket, and drawing of the author on the rear panel in black and white. A soldier of Fortune named Barr who featured in this author's earlier book The Churchill Commando is back again with two additional -- and very engaging -- recruits, to begin the quest for Kitty Higgins. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges; bumping of the book corners, the lower right-hand corner of the front panel being most affected. Tanning of the text block edges along with some stains. Lighter tanning of the pages. Some rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels a little staining to the top and lower edges of the rear panel – most noticeable to the verso.
