About This Item
Published by Hodder & Stoughton, London; 2008. First edition, first impression. 340pp. 8vo. Condition: Fine/Fine.
Bound in original black cloth boards with title in silver to the spine. The binding is square and tight and in excellent condition, free from marks or damage. Inside, the pages are clean and bright and free from marks or blemishes. The book is tightly bound and appears unread.
This lovely book is housed in its original dust jacket, which is in equally smart condition, with no signs of damage or marking.
In all, this is a beautiful example of this modern first edition by le Carre. It is in Fine condition with no points to speak of. Adapted into a film in 2014, this book tells the tale of a young Chechen ex-prisoner, smuggled into Germany in the dead of night, destitute and half-starved but with a claim to a fortune held in a private bank. Poignant, compassionate, peopled with characters the reader never wants to let go, 'A Most Wanted Man' is a work of deep humanity, and uncommon relevance to our times.
