Very Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. xiii, [2], 244 pp + (6) pp of adverts including an advert for manning speed grits with six samples affixed to the page. Two frontis plates with 16 actual mounted colour examples of paints there are also a further 8 similar plates at the end of the volume also with 8 mounted examples of actual paint colours to each plate. 6 of the examples are showing some loss. Also 33 full page illustrations from photographs drawing diagrams etc. The end papers are advertisements. The contents clean and tight with no inscriptions. Publishers blue cloth with gilt title to upper board and spine. The bindings clean and tight with no splits or staining. A vg + copy.
