Philadelphia: J. B. Lippincott Company, 1908. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 1st Printing First Printing of First USA Edition 1908 (same format and binding as the UK first edition). Original green cloth with gilt lettering front and spine, TEG, colored illustration front cover. Corners and spine ends rubbed with a little fraying, tight binding, old private owner bookplate on front pastedown otherwise no writing or marks on any pages, no foxing, faint smudge mark lower front cover corner, general fading to spine cloth, rear EP paper cracked but hinge holding fine and strong. The book measures 225mm tall x 150mm and has 304 pages, 71 b/w photos, folding map. One of only a few pre-WWII books on mountaineering in Norway. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
