Dust jacket in very good condition; light shelf wear and age toning; shadows of light wrinkles on top front panel; not price clipped (price is at bottom of front flap. * From the book, ""Set against the richly drawn background of the Gilded Age, Mr. Clemens and Mark Twain follows the two currents that flowed through its subject's life: one, as Kaplan said in his acceptance speech, ""away from Hannibal, Missouri, toward the world of wealth, fame and materialities,"" and the other ""back to Hannibal again"".
