The first printing, with no additional printings noted. Embossed ownership mark on half-title. In the publisher's dust jacket, $5.00 on front flap, light wear to spine, short closed tear at rear hinge, a near fine example. (Edens, F32) Singed in blue pen on the first free endpaper by Eleanor Roosevelt. The only known copy of this biography signed by the subject. One of the first major biographical works on First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, when the author was granted exclusive access to her personal papers.
