New York: Macmillan, 1922. Later printing. Hardcover. Very good+. Large octavo, 538pp., illustrated. Very good or better in the publisher's dark blue cloth with gilt spine. Front inner hinge thinly cracked, but holding. Touch of rubbing to the edges, but a nice example. SIGNED and INSCRIBED by the author on the front free endpaper: "New York March 5, 1923. Dear Mr. Bannon: In this book you will find some description of the Bear Lake and Coppermine country in which you are interested. I would not advise a summer journey unless it can be extended into the winter. Vilhjalmur Stefansson." Bannon was briefly an Ohio congressman, and an enthusiast and collector of hunting and exploration books. An appealing copy with a lengthy inscription.
