Grosset & Dunlap, 1941. reprint. Hardcover. Very Good-/Very Good-. Hardcover in dust jacket. Tweed cloth boards with title and silhouette in brown on front board and spine. Brown multi pic endpapers have previous owners name and # 00020 stamped on front and rear endpapers, as well as lower margin of frontis and lower margin of last page. Dime sized soil spot on page 204, text is still legible. Text is otherwise clean. Yellow spined color illustrated dust jacket has lightly chipped corners and spine ends. Light rubbing and soil. Front flyleaf lists Hardy Boys Mystery Stories to; "Mystery of the Desert Giant", Rear flyleaf lists to Rick Brant The Egyptian Cat Mystery. Both flyleaves have previous owners name and the #002 0 stamped in the margins. Back illustrated cover lists to; #17- " Tom Swift and the Visitor from Planet X. Nice in protective mylar.

Synopsis

The Mystery Of The Flying Express is Volume 20 in the original Hardy Boys book series published by Grosset & Dunlap. The same title has been used for two completely unrelated story lines. The original story line involves the "Flying Express" railway. This railway passes close to a foreign spy camp hidden in a forest. The revised edition involves a "Flying Express" hydrofoil.
