About This Item
New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1938 No. 7 of the Dana Girls series. Mrs. Crandall of Starhurst School plans to purchase a piece of property at Moon Lake for a girls' camp. Five girls, including Louise and Jean Dana, accompany Mrs. Crandall to the site on a weekend outing. The trip proves to be exciting, because the house located on the proposed camp property appears to be haunted-at any rate, someone else is staying in the house inside the locked attic room and only comes out at night when the Starhurst group is asleep. The girls convince Mrs. Crandall to extend their stay so that the mystery can be solved. If they can prove the camp property is not dangerous, Mrs. Crandall will purchase it. Refers to Mystery at the Crossroads on front flap of DJ and on the half title verso, refers to Nancy Drew's The Ringmaster's Secret on back of DJ. Condition notes: (viii), 218 numbered pp; HB w/DJ.
