Reprinted, originally published 1907. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece and fifty-six black-and-white plates. Collated complete. A collection of myths from ancient Greece and Rome, including: Ceres and Proserpina, Somnus and Mors, Minor Divinities, the Trojan War, the Adventures of Ulysses, and much more. Written by Hélène Adeline Guerber, an American writer known for her retellings of myths, legends, folklore, plays, epic poetry, operas and history. Bound in full red calf. Externally, smart with light shelf wear to the extremities. Fading to the spine and a small puncture mark to the rear board. A very minor split in the leather to the head of the front joint. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with minor age toning to the endpapers. School prize bookplate to the front pastedown. Very Good
