About the author

Little is known of Dr. Oolong Seemingly, other than he is most likely not a real (or even Honorary) doctor of any current or ancient discipline. There is some evidence to indicate that his first name is actually 'Dr.' but this has yet been confirmed. No matter, the good Dr. has written volumes for scientific journals on the space/time continuum, parallel universe conjectures, cosmic entanglement studies, as well as a vast array of childrens books generally inappropriate for children. Recent data holds that he was adopted by Chinese/Swedish parents after being found in a seedy Singapore marketplace apparently suffering from amnesia when he was about seven. Although obviously Caucasian, Oolong was so named to fit in with his seven Chinese sisters (of various nationalities, also adopted): Jasmine, Pekoe, Chamomile, Pu'er, Chai, Rooibos and Earl Gray. His formal education is spotty, although one grade school record was found that showed that he seemed to excel in 'smiling happy attitude' while attending the Dongzhong Mid-Cave Primary School (located in a cave in the mountainous Miao village in Guizhou province, China.) He later transferred to Abo Elementary in Artesia, New Mexico, which takes pride in being the first completely underground school in the U.S. His propensity and love for hiding and living underground and off the 'grid' can perhaps be explained by these early indoctrinations. He reportedly attended high school in Redondo Beach, CA. (Go Seahawks!) but again, no records can be found. Oolong gave up on a formal education when he became obsessed with the 'hobo life.' He began his travels around the world picking up very odd jobs until eventually landing at the Helsinki Institute, Finland, intending to make some money as a medical test subject. Here he met the infamous Carl Gruber. Although critics ferociously disagree on just about everything regarding BSFR! it seems likely that this (and most of his later works) were inspired by his dubious, early collaborations with Gruber. Oolong and Gruber shared a passion for large rocks, artificial intelligence, the activity and movement patterns of the Stigmochelys pardalis and, of course, quantum economics. The results of Gruber's dubious medical experiments have been entirely expunged by SYSTEM along with Gruber himself. Dr. Seemingly's current whereabouts are uncertain, as is his status of temporal existence. He was last seen poking about the event horizon surrounding a black hole named 'Chippy.'
