Boston: James R. Osgood and Compan, 1875. [6],23, 15pp., plus frontispiece and 43 plates. 4to. Calf and printed paper boards. Edges rubbed, internally very clean. Very good. First edition of the narrative of Le Moyne's expedition to America with Laudonniere and Ribault, translated from the Latin by Theodore de Bry, including 43 heliotypes of engravings of Le Moyne's drawings. His work focused on the now extinct Timucua tribe and life in the New World. His drawings are considered some of the most historically significant depictions of early colonial life. With a facsimile of the original titlepage, published in 1591. SERVIES 5853. COX II, p.184.
