London, United Kingdom: Houlston & Sons , 1886. Benjamin Wills Newton, (1807 - 1899) was an evangelist and author of Christian books. He was influential in the Plymouth Brethren. Although initially a close friend of John Nelson Darby, they began to clash on matters of church doctrine and practice which ultimately led to the 1848 split of the brethren movement into the Open Brethren and Exclusive Brethren. Earlier sermons collected together. CONDITION Red cloth with bright Gilt titles and blind ruled edges, pp xxxix 128 with publishers list. Bright and crisp as new apart from sl faded spine and age toned eps.. First Edition. Cloth. Fine/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
