A very smart first edition of this illustrated study on the natural history of the town of Hitchin. First edition. Collated complete. A detailed study of the market town of Hitchin, in the North Hertfordshire district in England, and the region of ten miles surrounding it. With a historical introduction to the area, geological commentary, and archaeological findings, as well as the botanical and zoological features. Edited by Reginal Leslie Hine, a British solicitor and historian whose writings centred on the town of Hitchin and its environs. In the original green cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with scattered spotting to the first and last few pages. Very Good
