There is scattered foxing to the endpapers, some light foxing and browning to the plate tissue guards, the hand-colored plates are bright and clean, and the cloth binding is clean and unused; a tight copy in very good condition.. Pp. viii, 272, 49 full page plates - 46 are hand-colored, 3 are plain. Original blind-stamped and gilt-decorated brown cloth, original yellow endpapers, lg 4to. This volume presents superb hand-colored plates of the butterflies, moths, and other insects of New York. The extensive text section covers descriptions of all of the illustrated insects. No ownership marks and no signs of use.
