Numerous woodcut illustrations in the text, unusually many with tissue guards. 8vo (6 3/4 x 4 1/2 inches), pages: xii:492, contemporary half burgundy calf spine gilt, all edges gilt. Crack to paper at inner gutter beteen pages xii & 1 but very firm on cords. An excellent and attractive copy. Charming contemporary gift inscription from a father to his daughter on front fly.
