New York: The Macmillan Company, 1946. Hardcover. vi, 88p., first edition, previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown endpaper. Shelfworn chipped dj. Promotional photo of the New Jersey-born African American author laid in, a duplicate of the dj photo but rather faded. The book is based on Logan's observations in the US army, the portrait shows him in uniform.
