Book GOOD Minus / Covers Good. Coated Paper. Boards and spine are navy cloth, lettering gilt. Front cover has light edge wear, two slightly bent corners with wear on the tips, a shallow bruise in edge of top and bottom board but did not break the paper, front cover has a partial white mark from a glass but this did not warp the cover, if tilted the cover shows a few small spots, front cover has a gilt engraving of sailing ship. Spine is slightly cocked and has minor edge wear on all four sides and a slight horizontal dent in the middle of spine but it did not break the paper or the spine. Back cover is about the same as front cover but with no ship, and with light visible rubbing from shelf wear. Page edges slightly sunned and side edge has a six letter name in blue ink, bottom edge has three numbers in ink. Inner end papers are a brown pattern with 1798, a small building and small men repeated on it and front cover liner has a piece torn off 4 1/2 inches W x about 2 inches H, this removed the patterned top layer but left the layer underneath and did not damage the front cover. Inside of book is tight, clear, flat with no writing that I saw. Inside the front cover the paper is torn and spine is exposed for 2 1/2 inches, front cover is loose here but is held firmly higher up. At title page 1 inch on bottom is open to spine. Pages 32-33 is open at the spine with fabric showing. Page 96-97 and 128-129 the same. The back cover is starting to loosen from the spine for 1/2 inch and with a matching tear in the back cover liner paper. A few pages dog eared about 1/2 inch, restored flat. Small bit of age darkening inside covers and on some pages. Nice black/white illustrations. First Edition 1927.

WILLOWBAY BOOKS

THERE IS NO COVID-19 IN MY STORE AND MY SALES ARE ONLINE ONLY. IMPORTANT NOTE RE POSTAGE: I love books and most of my books are NEW or LIKE NEW. I'm very careful in describing my books accurately and I've done so to the best of my ability using the IOBA Book Condition guidelines. All items are from a smoke-free, clean, dry environment. My books are from a large private collection, very well taken care of and rarely handled. All descriptions and photos are of the actual books I'm selling. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my books, just ask. IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.

This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office. Thanks for your understanding. I will always email you with the date your package was shipped, and shipping method used.

I'm sure you'll enjoy looking through my books, and purchasing from WILLOWBAY BOOKS. Thanks. Ms. Bronwen Kathy Williams, Ontario, Canada.
