Early antique copy of "NEW ARABIAN NIGHTS" by Robert Louis Stevenson. 1887 1st Edition thus; Charles Scribner's Sons; New York. New Arabian Nights is a collection of short stories previously published in magazines between 1877 and 1880. The collection contains Stevenson's first published fiction, and a few of the stories are considered by some critics to be his best work, as well as pioneering works in the English short story tradition.

* The Rajah's Diamond
* The Pavilion on the Links
* A Lodging for the Night
* The Sire de Maletroit's Door
* Providence and the Guitar
Condition:
Light soiling and some dark stains on the covers; fraying to the top and bottom edges of the spine; 1/2" tear at the top-right corner of the spine; corner wear (the tips of the boards are exposed). Tight binding. No cracks. No loose pages. The text pages are in excellent condition - clean and white with no stains, tears or foxing found; name written in pen on front end paper...no other writing found.
