An anthology of 15 science-fiction stories, each chosen to illustrate some basic question about the nature of God, man, and the universe. The stories "provide a new way of looking at religion, and outline its task as redefining man and his universe in terms of the new awareness and complexities inherent in the twentieth century space age."
