Orig. published by Scribner's 1906-07, this is the first Grosset & Dunlap edition (First, thus, no date), c. 1950s-1960s, when they reissued many classics of children's literature. In 278 pages, this hardcover book has light teal cloth over boards with black design & lettering to front & spine. Condition is Near Fine: very clean, binding straight & strong, hinges secure, pages creamy white with very mild tanning to edges; endpapers show heavier tanning. The unclipped DJ is downgraded to VG- due to minor chipping, soil, & edgewear; nicely protected in new mylar cover Free!
