Beverly Hills, CA: William Morris Agency, 1983. Agency script for the 1982 play. William Morris Agency script dated 1983, likely used to shop for a film adaptation, and likely the script that ultimately resulted in the television film adaptation released by Aaron Spelling Productions in 1986, directed by Broadway director Tom Moore, starring Sissy Spacek and Anne Bancroft.

Jessie Cates, an epileptic and unemployed mother of a troubled son, lives comfortably but dispirited, in a small country house with her aging widowed mother, Thelma. Over the course of the evening Jessie reveals to her mother her resolute, well-considered intent to end her life by morning. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Pale blue generic William Morris Agency wrappers. Title page present, dated April 4, 1983, with credit for screenwriter Norman. 93 leaves, xerographically duplicated. Pages Fine, wrapper Near Fine bound with two gold brads.
