About This Item
Boston: Roberts Brothers, 1882. Edward Lear (1812-1888) was a famed illustrator of birds and botany prior to his turn to limericks and nonsense, by which he is most remembered today. Clean text; unpaginated, with 150 coloured illustrations; decorative endpapers. The textblock has no issues - bright and clear. There is a contemporary (1884) gift inscription on the second free endpaper. Edges are darkened; rubbed at the margins with a few chips. In an archival plastic protector.. First Edition Thus. Pictorial Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
