About This Item

New York & London: Harper & Brothers Publishers, 1904. Joseph Conrad (Josef Teodor Korzeniowski, 1857-1924) is one of the most influential writers of the modern era. "Nostromo" was originally published as a serial; it is considered one of his best novels. This is a Very Good (Plus) copy of the First American Edition. Green decorative cloth binding, with the design in black, orange, and gilt; gilt titling on the spine. Clean text; 631 pages. Text remains bright and fresh; with the mis-spelling on p. 201. There are small, faint stamps on the FFEP and rear paste-down. Some rubbing at the margins, generally light but with a small bit of fray at the crown of the spine. A very attractive copy; in an archival plastic protector.. First Edition. Decorative Cloth. Very Good (Plus). 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
