Collation: A^6 B-G^8. 18th-century patterned paper wrappers; wrappers chipped and coming loose, text toned and lightly soiled, corners worn, some small dampstains Italian translation by Alfonso Bonaccioli of the first two books of Martianus Capella's 5th century didactic allegory De nuptiis Philologiae et Mercurii ("On the Marriage of Philology and Mercury"). With the ownership inscription of Italian poet, author and lawyer Antonio Beffa Negrini of Mantua. In 1606, the printer of this work, Francesco Osanna, published Negrini's history of the Castiglione family (Elogi historici di alcuni personaggi della famiglia Castigliona).
