Eight full page pochoir plates executed by Jacomet, 55 full page black and white plates by Victor MIchel, and a host of black and white text illustrations. Boule de Suif, translated variously as Dumpling, Butterball, Ball of Fat, or Ball of Lard, is a short story by the late-19th-century first published on 15/16 April 1880. Limited edition, copy 685 of 1150 on alfa satine Navarre. Elegant unsigned binding, inner dentelles, green silked and marbled board endpapers, spine of original paper bound edition laid-in. Interior fresh and day printed.
