Dark blue cloth with pressed gilt letters and designs to spine and front cover. Blind-stamped back cover design repeats in black on front. Decorated endpapers, marbled edges. 9 x 6 inches. 419p. + v (Index). Illustrated with 30 duo-tone photographs and drawings. 1891 inscription on blank front end paper, margins with a few short penciled vertical lines and one short note, front and rear hinge paper cracked. Else clean, bright and tight. Sioux/Dakotah Indians, Minnesota Massacre, Little Big Horn, etc. Scarce. Graff 1932, Luther 69, #70 High Spots Custeriana, Howes 592.
