About This Item
Edizioni Adriana / Gialli Blu, 1960s. Very Good. Super Poliziesco, Number 7, 12mo softcover digest paperback, L. 100 cover price, 128pp, perfect-bound. Vintage Italian crime novel from the Gialli Blu line, set in Florida and New Orleans. Noted exotic dancer Lilly "Cat Girl" Christine behind a red orchid on the front. A few ads for other Edizioni Adriana imprints. Like many Italian publishers, models already widely known in the US, like Betty Brosmer & striptease precedent Lili St. Cyr, were receiving international recognition by way of translated versions of American crime & romance novels featuring their image advertising the book. Models and dancers were "commissioned" for photo shoots seen on paperbacks/dust jackets, many of the images culled from earlier American publications. Very Good Plus; lean, slight roll, light rubbing and foxing.
