Stiff textured wrappers, dust jacket, decorative paper-over-boards slipcase. 101pp. Illustrations, line drawings. Fine/near fine/fne. Single small chip at head of jacket spine. Superbly bright and tight first edition of this typically impossible-to-describe Miller production "Written in 1937-38 in Paris... a long intimate book letter to the painter Hans Reichel." Features heavy stock text blocks of staggered widths and section dividers on various color deckle-edge stock. This edition came out in three forms: The cork edition (this one) of 1399 copies, a signed leather edition of 99 copies and an A-Z 26-copy signed edition. This cork edition features a front flyleaf of heavy cork.
