Burgundy cloth over boards, gilt stamped on spine, map on end papers, xxviii + 401 pp., + 8 maps; 22 figures in b & w. Spine ends bumped, cloth faded mostly at top of spine, but also lightly along top edges. Interior is clean, no writing or marks, binding sound.
