Kahn, (1867-1934), born in Germany, early on displayed a genius for economics. He became involved in banking in Great Britain and later in the United States, where he became an American citizen. He became one of the foremost re-organizers in the railroad industry saving several lines from financial ruin. This book includes chapters on the railroads, the stock exchange, taxation, Theodore Roosevelt, the war, foreign relations, the League of Nations, etc..
