Minor crease to front board. The ghost of an Anglo-Saxon king, vampire-like, drains the blood of women and children after archaeologists begin digging a barrow. Sibell Mackenzie, The Countess of Cromartie,(1878-1962), was a president of the Spiritualist Society of Great Britain and romantic novelist, she was a famous society beauty of her day. Castle Leod was an inspiration to Diana Gabaldon's fiction Castle Leoch in her Outlander series.
