About This Item
Harcourt, Brace & World, 1957. Hard. Fine. Rojankovsky, Feodor. Stated First Edition - but this is WRONG** -- Beware. Our book is in Harcourt's library binding, reinforced, decorative red cloth. Condition is FINE. Near Fine unclipped ($3.57) jacket with minor edge wear. **Most likely Harcourt, Brace and World used the original Harcourt Brace and Co.'s printing plates. merger between their two companies did not occur until 1962 -- so a Harcourt Brace and World imprint is not a first edition. Perhaps technically a Harcourt Brace World reprint could be called a First Edition Thus. They did change the color of the binding -- true first is yellow cloth and the price -- the first is $2.50 or $2.75, etc. Both editions feature the colorful Rojankovsky illustrations.
Synopsis
