London: The Harvill Press (Printed by Hague & Gill at Piggotts, High Wycombe), 1949. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. Bound by Sangorski in quarter black morocco and pre-war decorated boards (gilt and black on light blue). This book is one of a very few copies from an aborted edition of Gill's Jerusalem (Palestine) diary.The text of this version is set in Joanna and Joanna italic and is printed on pale blue Arnold hand-made paper. Condition: Very good, with just a hint of shelfwear and sunning to cover edges.Two variant title pages (see images) are also bound in to rear. 70pp. (last page unnumbered). No illustrations. The book is recorded in Eric Gill by Evan Gill, 2nd ed. revised by Corey & Mackenzie, 54a).
