This work is a picture book created by illustrator Randolph Caldecott. It consists of short tales, with illustrations in both black and white and full colour plates by Caldecott.Randolph Caldecott (1846-1886) was an illustrator and artist, known for this work as well as 'The House that Jack Built' and 'John Gilpin'.With a decorative pictorial cloth binding. In the publisher's original binding. Externally generally smart, a few stains to the front board, otherwise minor wear. Internally generally firmly bound, front hinge is straining but firm, pages are bright and clean bar the odd spot. Very Good
