Lacking the map. 25mm loss of cloth along edges of top corners of boards. 15mm tear to cloth at head of spine. A few rodent nibbles to rear joint. Staining to rear board. Internally very good. Some foxing to folding lithograph frontispiece. Foxing to margins of first 3 lithograph plates. The fifth plate has a minor dampstain and tidemark to the margin. Fourth and sixth lithograph plates very good and clean. No previous owner's signatures or marks. ; Volume One only of two volumes. Lacking the map. xxii, 506 pages + [6] pages advertisements + folding lithograph frontispiece " Fort Yuma, Colorado River" + 6 lithograph plates. 34 woodcut illustrations, mostly small in-text illustrations, some full page on unpaginated plate leaves. Title continues: "Connected with the United States and Mexican Boundary Commission, During the Years 1850, '51, '52, and '53. Original green cloth boards with gilt lettering and cactus illustration on spine. Page dimensions: 232 x 142mm. Dark blue-green endpapers. .
