Alfred A. Knopf, 1958. Hard. Very Good. Publisher's ""Gibraltar Library Binding"" but not a former library book. Name on front end paper + age toned gutters, else fine. No jacket. Not the book club reprint.

Synopsis

ROGER DUVOISIN was born in Switzerland in 1904 and came to the United States in 1925. He wrote and illustrated many highly acclaimed children's books, most notably the picture books about Petunia, the silly goose, and Veronica, the very conspicuous hippo. He also illustrated 10 books about the Happy Lion, written by his wife Louise Fatio. He was awarded the Caldecott Medal for White Snow, Bright Snow and a Caldecott Honor for Hide and Seek Fog , both by Alvin Tresselt. He died in 1980.
