Very good. - Quarto [13-1/4 inches wide by 9-1/2 inches wide], softcover bound in pictorial wrappers with a color cover illustration by Indrimi. The binding is lightly bumped with the head & tail of the spine slightly chipped. There is some very light foxing to the edges of the covers. Unpaginated. Illustrated with 16 portraits of composers in brown & white, 16 color plates by Indrimi with 2 lithographs in brown & white laid in, and 4 pages of music by Paolo Arca and Enrico Pieranunzi. The bottom edges of the laid- in lithographs are slightly creased. Very good. <p>Introduction by Marcella Cossu, musical commentary by Sandro Cappelletto. In this work, Indrini was seeking to find a visible form for the relationship between sounds and images. His starting point was the idea that music and painting are both universal languages. The text is in Italian. The compliments slip of the director of S.I.A.P.A. is laid in.
