Illustrated, with many aquatint plates. Sixteen plates total, according with the list to the rear by John Hassell. These rich illustrations depict the areas discussed in the text. A collaborative work, by J Ibbetson, J Laporte and J Hasell. Collated, complete. In a full morocco binding. A charming guide to Bath and beyond, which describes the journey from London to the West Country before delving into the soil, waters, history, antiquities, public buildings, amusements and more of Bath. The authors then go on to discuss Bristol Hot-Wells, The River Avon, Gloucester, Tintern and further afield around the South West. In a full straight grain morocco binding. Externally, very smart with heavy rubbing to the spine and to the extremities. Several handling marks to the boards. Small split to the head of front joint. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with occasional scattered spots to pages. Very Good
