Joints split but covers secure holding by cords; small piece of leather lacking from spine. Good. Octavo (6" x 9") in contemporary calf-backed marbled boards with a heavily gilt-decorated spine; xvi, 213, [1] pages. The complete first volume, with half-title page, that covers the Netherlands. Illustrated with an engraved title page and 28 sepia aquatint plates. The missing second volume covered France.
