A collection of poetry from Matthew Arnold, an English poet and cultural critic characterised as a sage writer who instructs the reader on contemporary social issues. With an introduction from Arthur Thomas Quiller-Couch, an English poet, novelist, and anthologist. Bound in quarter vellum with red cloth boards. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities and the odd small mark to the board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd handling mark. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. Very Good Indeed
