Cocoa brown cloth with gilt on brown spine lettering, tan speckled endpapers, 272 with extensive index, illustrated dustjacket. The book is in very good condition, looks and feels new and unread, with only a thumbprint atop front free endpaper, sound text block, good hinges, clean pages with no names or other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not corner clipped and is in good condition, with some rubbing to its extreme edges and a lightly faded spine. Traces the budding relationship between poet and dream girl from the pair's first meeting until their wedding. Thoughtfully edited by their daughter, Margaret, it is a record of the 1908 long distance relationship of two dedicated intellectuals, including 134 letters. . First Edition, First Printing. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
