Rebound in 20th c. quarter calf over marbled boards, gilt lettering back, newer endpapers, the bookplate of British poet Robert Herring at front pastedown. Very Good Plus, small rubs at corners, the name "John Gwyn", dated July 11, 1751 at verso of title page and top of p. 1. First acted in June 1669, starring the famous Nell Gwyn, and published in 1670. The play was revived in 1677, 1686, 1694, and 1702. ESTC, R15523; Macdonald, H. John Dryden,; 74d; Woodward, G.L.
