Clean blue cloth boards with dark blue lettering, image of woman looking in a hand mirror on cover, dark lettering and small hand mirror on spine; library number on spine. No bumping or fraying. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Ink-stamp of "West Union School Homemaking" on front and rear pastedown. Publisher's code C-W on copyright page. All text pages are clean and unmarked, clean text block page edges. 245 pages. Dust jacket is clean, has 1" piece missing at base of spine, one 3" closed angle tear; other shorter edge tears, "1030" on spine; enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. Principles embodied in this book concern not the fashion of the moment, but the permanent rules of individual dress. It contains chapters by the two greatest fashion authorities in the world at the time..
