All plates with tissue guards. Illustrated by reproductions of old prints, several oil paintings, "and the famous Byron Screen." History of boxing in England, much anecdotal data concerning boxers, matches and the nobility, Lord Byron included who embraced the sport despite a club foot. Limited edition, copy 144 of 750. Boards rubbed at extremities, round black leather label with title printed in red at front cover.
