This copy bears the stamp (upper front cover) of Theodore Stern, professor emeritus of Anthropology at the University of Oregon, and the author of The Klamath Tribe: A People and Their Reservation. Book opens with Physical Description of the countryside, followed by a Historical Summary and notes on the general distribution of populations in what was then known as Northern Tonkin, or the (French) colonized areas of Northern Indo-China.
