Jacket design by Catherine Phillips Rembert. Green cloth with gilt titles to spine and front board. Very good, minor rubbing to edges. First Edition, 236 pages. 8vo. in unclipped dust wrapper. Rutledge was South Carolina's first poet laureate, a position he held until his death in 1973. Previous owner's name, I.B. Cauthen, Jr. who was a past president of The Bibliographical Society of the University of Virginia were he was also a professor. Reviewer's copy written in rear gutter.; 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall .
