The life of Ralphe De Palma is one of significant accomplishment. He had a long racing career that spanned what has been called the Golden Age of American racing. He won automobile races in three different decades and nine different brands, from Fiat to Miller. He also won on every surface: dirt, the boards, and the bricks of Indianapolis. He was best on the one-mile dirt tracks, the unique American contribution to racing venues. 374 pages with many black & white photographs, races, racing results, bibliography and index. Fine in fine and bright dust jacket, housed within the publisher's slipcase. An as new copy.
